EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE TONGUE & GROOVE PANELS
Panel Manufacturing (PTY) Ltd specialises in the manufacturing of EPS insulated panels and doors designed to form efficient, lightweight insulated structures. Panels are manufactured to custom lengths and consist of two pre-finished steel skins permanently bonded to an Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) core using a heat-activated polymer adhesive under controlled pressure.
The lamination process ensures 100% adhesive coverage, resulting in excellent structural integrity, consistent bonding, and long-term durability. The EPS core provides reliable thermal insulation while keeping the panel lightweight and easy to handle.
Panels incorporate a precision male/female joint system, ensuring accurate alignment, improved rigidity, and a tight fit during installation. Various facing materials and finishes are available, with frost white Chromadek® steel supplied as standard.
Standard panel widths are approximately 1170mm, with thicknesses ranging from 40 mm to 200mm, depending on insulation and structural requirements. Panels are typically supplied palletised and can be offloaded on site using standard forklifts.

Lamination under pressure with 100% adhesive coverage gives the panel its impressive strength characteristics. These panels combine the strength of a male/female joint with the insulation properties of a snug core to core fit. Various facing materials and finishes are available with frost white chromodeck as a standard. Typically, these panels are 1185mm wide with a thickness ranging from 40mm to 300mm. They are normally packed on pallets and can be unloaded in most situations using ordinary forklifts.
Polystyrene:
Polystyrene is generally used in panel applications due to its insulation properties and high strength to weight ratio. All polystyrene used by Panelman is regularly tested to EPSASA standards and contains a flame retardant additive, which restricts the extent of burn but is not classified as a fire stop material.
